Hiking is for everyone! New to bushwalking and wanting to get started for minimal cost? Or an experienced adventurer looking for new walking challenges?
Most HikeWest member groups provide a range of activities throughout the bushwalking season (April to November for Perth region), and generally charge only around $10 for an introductory walk and $35-45 or less for a full year’s membership; amazing value provided by experienced volunteers keen to share the joys and benefits of walking in nature. Our member groups offer diverse activities, suiting a wide range of experience, abilities and preferences, beginning with introductory walks for all newcomers. They provide opportunities to develop valuable skills and build confidence to progress from easy to more challenging activities. They will not only introduce you to the most known, popular tracks such as the Bibbulmun Track and Eagle’s View Trail, but will also help you discover many other much lesser-known, adventurous walk areas that non-club walkers seldom reach.
Our member groups have a long history of conducting safe and responsible activities. But their members and their visitor walkers also have the comfort that in the unlikely event that something does go wrong on a walk the participants and their club are all sensibly protected under a special insurances package available in WA only to eligible HikeWest member groups.
